About
The Little Food Cafe, nestled at 330 John F. Kennedy Blvd in Bayonne, NJ, is a charming gem that brings the warmth and comfort of a countryside café right into the city. This cozy spot welcomes you with a rustic, intimate atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home, whether you’re seated indoors or enjoying their limited outdoor patio.
The true highlight here lies in their thoughtfully crafted menu, which shines with fresh, flavorful dishes and homemade baked goods. Their breakfast offerings are a standout—pancakes that are fluffy and perfectly balanced in sweetness have earned a devoted following. The veggie skillet and big skillet breakfast deliver hearty, satisfying flavors, while the BLT bagel stands as a star favorite for its spectacular taste and texture.
Lunch selections impress with creative panini sandwiches like the smoky chicken and pesto varieties, paired pleasingly with crispy chips. While some mention the fries lean too greasy, the sweet potato fries often receive praise for their crispiness and flavor. For those seeking lighter fare, the Tex salad offers a decent option, though some find it more average compared to the café’s other items.
The bakery section deserves special mention. From the delicately sweet pumpkin roll to their famed brownies, each dessert tastes homemade with just the right balance—not overly sugary, yet richly satisfying. These baked treats underscore the café’s dedication to quality and comfort, making each visit feel like a small celebration of flavor.

“ Cute local spot to visit! Needless to say the Highlight of their menu was the dessert! Some baked goodies and options to choose from, went with the pumpkin roll and it was delicious and very tasty not too sweet so you can tell it’s homemade! The panini sandwiches were great had the pesto & smoky chicken both were great! Fries were a bit too greasy for my liking. Also, the Tex salad was just ok so could skip on it next time but the place overall is worth the try! You can’t go there in a hurry as they take a bit of time to prep the food so patient is a must! Staff is super friendly and helpful. ”
“ Okay so came here twice once for breakfast (indoors) and once for lunch (outdoors). Here’s my take: Pros: •Seating is available indoors and outdoors. •Service has been pretty good both times, waitress were very attentive. (Only one con down below) •Food is amazing! I had the chicken pesto panini for lunch and it came with chips. Also, ordered the sweet potato fries and it was crispy, possibly one of the best I’ve ever had. Side note: please get the CHIPOTLE SAUCE! Goes well with the onion rings! (I to come back for the chicken and waffles) •I’ve seen a review of only taking cash, but they have tap to pay and all that. •Portion is great for the cost you pay. I couldn’t even finish my sweet potato fries but I tried my best Cons: •Not sure if you have to walk up to pay or they come with the check. Both times I think I waited 10 min before just going up and paying. •Parking is residential and I would say a bit limited because it is very close to a school. This means 2 hour limit parking before you get a ticket. ”
“ Magical little breakfast place with delicious breakfast options and charm to boot. The veggie skillet was well cooked and the pancakes were amazing. ”
“ A little gem in Bayonne! Food is fresh, flavorful, and good quantity. Also their baked goodies are the best-especially the brownies! Staff is helpful and hospitable. Cozy and clean spot. They also have limited outdoor seating! All the perks of a city brunch spot without the heavy price tag. Must try! ”
“ Updating my review because I still eat here and have tried so many good dishes/drinks since my last review in 2021! I have to start by saying i'm ecstatic Little Food is now on the Toast app! If you're a new customer, you get 10% off your order btw. Okay, who was going to tell me Little Food has some of the best pancakes I've ever tasted in my life!? You can order a single pancake, a small stack (3) or a large stack and when you do, make sure you order a side of their whipped cream. Ordering it plain is good by itself but with fruit it just hits the ball out of the park. Not only are the pancakes good, their breakfast burrito is filling, honey dijon salmon with mashed potatoes is a dinner fave plus the impossible cali burger. And you can never forget the brownie it's still chocolatey and made with love. The service here is always quick, easy, and friendly. And keep an eye out for specials too they update every morning they're open. If you're planning to eat here, there's indoor and outdoor seating. It's a small and cozy space that feels like home. Thank you Little Food! ”
